The following criteria will be used by the Forum to help assess which issues it will focus its resources on:
- Is the issue one of critical importance to African American Floridians?
- Does the issue impact economic growth and development in the state?
- Is this an issue of importance in more than a single community?
- Can the Forum play a meaningful role in resolving the issue?
- Will resolution of the issue help build a pro-business environment in the state?
- Are there other groups or organizations that have a vested interest in the resolution of the issue?
- Do successful models exist in the nation to help solve the issue?
- Are there partners in the state who are desirous of solving the issue?
- Is this an issue which can be addressed by a group such as the Forum?
- Is there expertise on the Forum, or available to it, which can be utilized to help solve the problem?
- What is the financial or business impact of not solving this issue?
- Is there a "willingness" and commitment in the general community to solve this issue?
- Are there sufficient resources to undertake this initiative?
